After Albert’s approval, we moved on to printing the design. This process consists of transforming a 3D design into a tangible material, in this case wax.
Once we have the printed wax, we transfer it to the chosen metal, in this case white gold. We do this with the lost wax casting method, which allows us to obtain a plaster mold with wax inside. Once ready, we melt the wax and inject the white gold into the hole left by the wax.
This is how we got Albert’s rough piece, which still had to pass through the hands of our craftsmen to file and polish it. Finally, we set the brilliant and, as with all our white gold pieces, we gave it a rhodium plating to give it the special shine of white gold.
We were able to do all this work in just a few days because the creative process with Albert was very fluid. Once he had the piece in his hands, he thanked the entire Marteliè team for their dedication and affection in making his idea that he had brought us on paper a reality.
